IRS Taxpayer Advocate

The Taxpayer Advocate Service is a government agency that serves as a "watchdog" over the IRS.  It is an independent organization outside the IRS but has the ability to intervene in IRS matters when the IRS has overstepped its boundaries.  It assists taxpayers who have been unable to resolve tax issues through standard channels.  At Larson Financial, we often enlist the help of taxpayer advocates to ensure a taxpayer's rights are exercised.
